Okay - does anyone agree that Scottie Scheffler has a good case to sue over the announcers curse ?

I am actually glad to see Jaeger win after teeing it up in over 130 tournaments for his first win. Scheffler already has a lot of money and has his card secured for a long time. Jaeger gets a lot more than just the $1.6 million by securing his first win.

Back to the gist of my note… Just before Scottie hit his putt to tie for the lead and force a play-off, the announcer said “Scottie hasn’t missed a putt inside 5 feet all week” As soon as he said that I turned to my wife and said "it’s over now". "The announcers curse just secured the win for Jaeger." Then Scottie missed his first putt from inside 5 feet all week !!!!

The announcers should not be allowed to say that kind of stuff until AFTER the player completes the task at hand !

  2. Oh man I so agree with you! Steve and I both said the exact same thing!
It was fun seeing Jaeger win though. He was so happy….and his wife was ecstatic!

I was thinking the same thing actually. Not that I am particularity superstitious (knock on wood), but why oh why do they feel the need to tempt the fates! .....
  4. I had already conceded the putt and was checking to see where the 1st playoff hole was.

You are so right on this. Keep the "hasn't done (fill in the blank)" until AFTER the shot!!
