I’ve been a long time Titleist-only nut for ages now. I loved the TS, TSI, and especially the TSR line of fairways. But, the GT Fairways (I have GT2 3 and 7) are incredible. Different sound off the face I’m getting used to, but the results are better than TSR by far, IMO.

Anyone else noticing a major difference in the fairways?

I finally hit mine today for the first time and noticed a nice crack sound to them. I also found them to be quite forgiving. I previously had a TSR 7 wood and TSi 4 wood that had the wrong shafts in them (didn't get fit on these ones) and with the new fitting I feel these woods are money. Fitter put me into a 3 wood and 5 wood that were gapped better than my previous set up.

Yes. GT 7 wood is the equivalent distance of my old 5 wood so now I will put in the 16.5 3 wood with a shorter shaft (driver is 44 inches long ) and it will become a true 4 wood. When the hybrids come out I will fill the gap between the 7 wood and my longest iron . Bottom line is I’m using shorter and more accurate clubs and covering the same distances with higher percentage of success on every shot

Yes, they are amazing, but since this is the first time I have been fit for fairways, it is difficult to tell which helped more, the shaft or the clubhead...

Upgraded my TSi2 18 degree to a GT2 16.5 degree and got out with it for the first time yesterday - holy cow this thing is sweet! The forgiveness in this club is insane. I've never had confidence hitting a 250 yard shot off the deck until now. I loved it so much I went ahead and ordered the 21 degree. The top of my bag has improved drastically with these and the GT3 driver.

I literally just posted asking about this very topic! I didn't search hard enough to find this post I guess! this is the feedback I've been looking for; I did a GT2 Driver fitting but I'm going back for fairways, and I was wondering what others' opinions were on their GT fairways' performance. I currently have TSR2 4 and 7-woods.

    Thanks for the post!
  7. Yes the new GT2 Fairways are great. I had trouble with the TSR2 Fairways so I just stayed with my TSR2 Hybrids, but yesterday I went with the GT2 13.5 degree with the Denali Red 60g 6.0 shaft and saw incredible results, both off of the tee and off the turf. Off the turf I averaged 247 yards and in the fairway. Give them a try is what I would suggest. I was very happy I did

For that matter, my 913F 17 and 910F 21 are way better vs TSR1 18 and 20. The TSR1 23 is a fantastic club. I attached an image of the GT2 alongside my 913F 17. So far the feel of the GT2 is great.

The GT2 18 blew away the 913F 17 on the course this am.

I have the GT2 5 and 7 woods with Tensei Blue 65R. 5g head weights D1 swing weight. I also installed a Tensei Blue AV 65R on the 9 wood. Solid hitting.

I put the Diamana 72 x5ct S back on the 9 wood. The 40.5” shaft length is just right as a “rescue fairway” plus I can put my “ever so faithful” 910F 7 wood in. The images below shows what I took to Riverwalk last Wed. Shot 39 on the back 9.

I traded the GT2 7 wood for a Wedgeworks 58K*. My 910F 7 wood and TSR1 9 wood are a potent combo off the fairway and longer par 3s. The GT2 5 wood remains a keeper because a number of the par 3s at Oaks North play 190-200 plus I tee off on narrow par 4s. My “carry bag” uses a GT2 5 wood and TSR1 9 wood. I replace the 58–14K (56*) and 60-06K (59*) with a 60-14K (58*).

All I can say is next year I turn 60, and my group will still make me play the Blue/Orange tees, so yeah, I LOVE the GT's....

Nice quality coming out of the plant here in San Diego on a new GT2 driver. Looks like it was run over by a freight train. Clubhead, shaft, hosel all destroyed on delivery.

That was surely the delivery company's issue and not Titleist.

Just placed my order for the GT2 fairway wood! Hopefully they see my name & put a rush on it. Hahaha! It's going to have the Denali 50g Blue shaft to go alongside my GT3 driver I already have in the bag. It's going to be a long anticipated 2 weeks
  18. GT3 fairways have been a huge improvement over the TSR2 fairways I played last year, better ball speeds and much stronger ball flight for me.

The GT Fairways are really good. Flying under the radar on how these are so much better than the TSR. The L-shaped face really does help on the low miss on the clubface.
  20. The GT Fairway's are much improved over the TSR line. I game the 16.5 degree GT3 and the 21 degree GT and both have a much better ball flight than the TSR3 and TSR I had previously. I tend to have a lower ball flight and both of these throw the ball up in the air almost effortlessly. I was fit for them with the GT3 at a TT fitting back in early August and I can't be happier with the results.

    Cheers,

    Huddersfield,

Just bought a GT2 5 wood today, it looks absolutely gorgeous and looking forward to putting in play this week in Spain
  22. Absolitely. I couldnt get the TSR2 Fairway in the air. Just purchased the GT2 13.5 degree strong 3 Wood yesterday, with the Denali Red 60g 6.0 shaft and lpved it, both off the tee amd fairway. Huge difference
  23. Totally agree. Just purchased the GT2 13.5 degree, with the Denali Red 60g 6.0 shaft yesterday. Saw great results off the tee and off the turf. I was able to hit the GT2 much better than the TSR2 Fairway. I hit the TSR2 Fairway so poorly I just stayed with my TSR2 Hybrids. But the GT2 Fairway Wood was incredible.
  24. Yes saw a huge difference of the GT2. This club is amazing. It was so much easier for me to hit than the TSR2 Fairway wood, which I ended up not getting, and sticking with my TSR2 Hybrids, which are also amazing. I ended up going with the 13.5 degree, with the Denali Red 60g 6.0 shaft. Off the fairway I averaged 247 yards in the fairway. Another amazing Titleist product
  25. Just picked up a gt2 5 wood... Blown away by the distance and forgiveness of it. Does have a different sound, not bad though.

The GT2 5 and 7 woods are better off the deck vs TSR1 and 2. I do love the TSR1 23 fairway.

Love my GT2 w3. Been playing a TM sim2 for a few years and been happy with that club, the GT2 is a different breed. Looks, sound and ball flight are so much better and fits my swing perfectly.
