PGA TOUR | Hero World Challenge

Playing his Pro V1 golf ball and set of Vokey Design wedges, the World No. 1 and Hero World Challenge champion successfully defended his title Sunday in the Bahamas.

• The longtime Pro V1 player led a 1-2-3 finish for Titleist golf ball players, with 70 percent of the field at Albany Golf Club playing a Pro V1 or Pro V1x.
• He closed with a bogey-free 9-under 63, birdieing four of his final six holes to punctuate the five-shot victory.
• The champion led the field in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green (+12.90), SG: Approach (+6.77), GIR (81%) and Scrambling (86%) and made a field-best 27 birdies (T1).
• He made just two bogeys over the 72 holes.
• Every player in the top 3 –rounded out by Titleist Brand Ambassadors Tom Kim (2nd) and Justin Thomas (3rd) – also played Vokey wedges, with 11 total Vokeys between them.
• In addition to his back-to-back Hero victories, the World No. 1 has used a Pro V1 golf ball and three Vokey wedges to win each of his 13 official PGA TOUR titles, including every tournament this season: Arnold Palmer Invitational, THE PLAYERS, Masters Tournament, RBC Heritage, Memorial Tournament, Travelers Championship and TOUR Championship.

JUSTIN THOMAS OUTDRIVES FIELD WITH NEW GT DRIVER SETUP

• Titleist Brand Ambassador Justin Thomas led the field in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee, gaining more than six shots (+6.102) on the field with his NEW GT2 9.0° driver– and a new shaft configuration he tested this week.
• While Thomas has experimented with longer lengths in recent years, this specific build– a Mitsubishi Diamana BB Proto 63 TX at 46 inches finished – arose from a discussion with J.J. Van Wezenbeeck (Titleist Director of Player Promotions) at the recent ZOZO Championship.
• In testing at home, Thomas saw gains of up to 3 mph ball speed with remarkable spin consistency from the GT2’s high-MOI construction.
• Said Thomas after his first round Thursday: “That is the driver that I've been hitting with at home. I’ve had a long driver that I'll travel with for the last year or so. I’ve used it a couple times, but this shaft that I’m using is different. I want to be able to have that because I think there’s some courses that it's a huge advantage. This isn't necessarily one. You know, some of those drives that I hit in the... sandy area, desert area,whatever the heck it is... those aren't bad tee shots a lot of places. If it’s just in the rough, I’m going to be able to get around the green versus on 3 I'm up against a bush. So like I said, it's something that you can use it all you want at home, but once it's in competition it's just a little bit different.”
• “It’s a pretty consistent– like probably 2 or 3 (mph) ball speed, I can get – I’d say it's probably 10, probably 8 to 10 in the air and I can get another 15 out of it, so I think that’swhat’s nice. Again, it’svery specific for courses, but gave it a try.”
• Thomas was one of 10 players in the 20-player field using a Titleist driver this week in the Bahamas.
• Ludvig Aberg, who made the move to his NEW GT2 9.0° driver at the RSM Classic, finished second in SG: Off the Tee (+5.634).
• Titleist has been the most played driver on the PGA TOUR for the last six seasons.

DP WORLD TOUR | Nedbank Golf Challenge

Johannes Veerman (Pro V1) captured his second DP World Tour title, closing in 3-under 69 to complete the comeback victory.

• Veerman, who started the day five shots back of the lead, posted the only sub-70 score among the final top 10 to win by one shot.
• Over the four days, Veerman gained an average of +1.78 strokes per round tee to green, with the top six players in that category all playing a Pro V1 or Pro V1x.
• That list included Will Zalatoris, who put the new 2025 Pro V1x golf ball in play for the first time this week in South Africa, leading the field in Strokes Gained: Approach (+1.78 per round).

ASIAN TOUR | PIF Saudi International

Joaquin Niemann stuck his Pro V1x golf ball to a foot for birdie on the second hole of a playoff to win the Asian Tour’s season finale.

• Niemann closed in 4-under 67 to finish the week at 21 under and join the three-man playoff that included Titleist Brand Ambassador Cameron Smith.
• Smith’s final round – a bogey-free 9-under 62 with 17 GIR’s – was the best of the week.
• Niemann, who with the victory topped the Asian Tour’s International Series Order of Merit, was one of 11 Pro V1 and Pro V1x players who finished in the top 10 and ties.

PGA TOUR AUSTRALASIA | Victorian PGA Championship

Cory Crawford rolled his Pro V1x golf ball in for birdie on the 72nd hole to win his second title on the PGA Tour of Australasia.

• Crawford – one of 101 players (85%) in the field trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x – shot rounds of 66-67-72-68 to post 14 under par and record a one-shot victory over Tyler McCumber (Pro V1x).
