I never thought it would happen. I have played over a thousand rounds at my home course here in Stanhope,Prince Edward Island, CANADA in the last 20 years. I have witnessed 7 hole in ones with my playing partners but resigned myself to never getting one. I grew up on this course, actually burning my hands on the ashes of number 4 tee when they were building the course. I have fished balls out of the ponds and woods when I was young and sold them to golfers for pop and chip money. I hit cross handed with my buddy's clubs when I was a kid because we didn't have any. I've had good rounds and lots of bad ones but tonight I did something i never thought i would. I had a hole in one on number #3 at my course, Stanhope Golf and Country Club. a short par 3. I hit a sand wedge and using a Titleist Velocity #33 golf ball it bounced once and went into the hole. It was awesome and feels like there has been a weight lifted from my shoulders.
