Line extension rounds out Vokey SM10 family with new low bounce lob wedge offerings
Vokey Design, the most played wedges on the PGA TOUR since 2004, will extend its SM10 family in 2025 with the addition of two new tour-proven offerings – the 58.06K and 60.06K lob wedges. The .06K models offer the greenside versatility of a low bounce lob wedge with the added forgiveness of a wide K Grind sole, which excels out of the bunker. These features are particularly geared towards players with shallower deliveries, or those who play on firmer turf conditions, yet still benefit from the performance of a wider sole.
The .06K Grind lob wedge, which has been available as a WedgeWorks offering in prior years, was born out of the collaboration between Master Craftsman Bob Vokey and players competing at the highest level of professional golf. In the case of the .06K Grind, Vokey found that some players preferred the K Grind sole but needed a lower bounce version to hit higher, softer pitches off the firm, tight lies on tour.
“As a result of those requests, we crafted a K Grind sole with 6 degrees of effective bounce, while maintaining the wide camber that makes the K Grind design so helpful for a wide variety of players,” said Vokey. “As soon as we brought it out on tour, it was immediately accepted and in the bags of multiple players as soon as they had a chance to test it.”
One of Bob Vokey’s three keys to great wedge play is shot versatility. Short game creativity and shotmaking ability can be unlocked through playing a properly fitted wedge set, and with its now 27 different loft, bounce and grind combinations, the Vokey SM10 line has offerings for every player. The addition of the 58.06K and 60.06K lob wedges gives players alternative low bounce options to the narrower 58.04T and 60.04T models.
“In the past few years, our in-line low bounce lob wedges have always had narrow, crescent-shaped soles,” said Corey Gerrard, Director of Marketing, Vokey Wedges. “Whether it was L Grind or T Grind, for some players, those aren’t necessarily the most forgiving sole designs for a low bounce wedge. Adding the .06K allows us to give players, some of whom might fit somewhere between an .08M Grind and an .04T Grind, a low bounce wedge that still offers forgiveness, especially from the bunker.”
The 58.06K and 60.06K lob wedges are available for pre-sale on Thursday, February 6 and will be in golf shops worldwide beginning Friday, March 7.
.06K Grind on Tour
Since its inception, the .06K Grind has enjoyed tremendous success across the worldwide professional tours. The current OWGR Nos. 1 and 2 have both won major championships with a 60.06K lob wedge in the bag.
“The 6-degree K Grind lives in the bags of some of the world’s best,” said Vokey Tour Representative Aaron Dill. “It has always been known as the ultimate bunker club. However, when you ask players on tour why they play the .06K Grind, they will tell you not only do they love the performance in the bunkers, but they love the way the leading edge hugs the ground when pitching and chipping.”
On the PGA TOUR in 2024, over half the gap, sand and lob wedges were Vokey Design (9,185, 53%), more than four times the nearest competitor (1,884, 11%). Thirty events were won on the PGA TOUR in 2024 by players gaming at least one Vokey Design wedge, including three major championships: the Masters, the PGA Championship and the Open Championship.
Vokey SM10 Performance & Technology
Shot versatility
With the addition of the 58.06K and 60.06K lob wedges, Vokey SM10 wedges now feature 27 different loft, grind and bounce combinations to fit a variety of swing types, styles of play and course conditions. Playing the right wedge helps golfers achieve proper turf interaction and find the optimal strike position (grooves 2-5), resulting in a lower, more consistent flight with higher spin.

Distance and trajectory control
Vokey Design SM10 wedges feature optimized, progressive CG positions to achieve precision in distance and trajectory control. In the 46-52° models, the CG is lower for a better transition from the iron set and more consistent distance gapping. The CG is also pushed out closer to the center of the face, helping to eliminate excessive draw movement and provide a more solid feel, based on tour player feedback and testing. In lofts 54-62°, the CG is moved up and forward, which provides lower trajectory and a squarer face at impact. Loft-optimized CG allows for more consistent, controlled flight, better feel and tighter dispersion from the top end to the bottom end of a player’s wedge setup.
Maximum spin
Vokey’s patented Spin Milled groove cutting process provides a scoreline that delivers higher, more consistent spin, wedge after wedge. Vokey SM10 wedges feature TX9 grooves that are individually cut based on loft and finish: the grooves on the stronger-lofted wedges (46-54°) are cut narrower and deeper, while the higher-lofted wedges (56-62°) feature wider and shallower grooves.
A parallel micro-texture between grooves helps maximize spin on partial shots, and a high frequency heat treatment is applied to the impact area, doubling the durability of the groove edge compared to untreated grooves.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the .06K Grind for?
The .06K Grind is ideal for players with a shallower attack angle, or those who play on firm course conditions, but who would also benefit from the .06K Grind’s wider sole out of the bunker.
What is the difference between the .06K Grind and the .14K Grind?
Both grinds feature a wide, high-cambered sole, and both perform exceptionally from the bunker. The SM10 58.14K and 60.14K wedges have 14 degrees of bounce and are better suited for steeper swings and soft conditions, while the SM10 58.06K and 60.06K wedges have 6 degrees of bounce and are better suited for shallower swings and tighter, firm conditions.
What is the difference between the .06K Grind and the .04T Grind?
Both are low bounce wedges and require precise deliveries, but the .06K Grind features a wide, high-cambered full sole, which offers more forgiveness and will resist excessive digging through the turf and sand. The .04T Grind has a narrow sole, with heel, toe, and trailing edge relief, which allows the leading edge to sit slightly lower from an open-faced position and cut through turf more aggressively.
