Came home to a sweet little package from Team Titleist Canada. I opened it up and went right to the course to put these new prototype balls to use. I have been a long time Pro v1-x player but recently had the odd new TP5 sneaking in the bag.
After playing both these balls, I can firmly say the Proto Red v1-x is much improved and surpasses the TP5. I found the spin rates stayed very stable, no ballooning and the Red finally appears to be just as long as the black. Green side spin was controllable and the feel of the ball is now much closer to the PRO-V-1.
Really appreciate this great gift, they will be put in use as I leave Monday for the Mercedes world trophy finals in Stuttgart Germany !!
