So I was fitted for the T350. (FYI I was a 24 handicap when I got fitted). Now I'm a 14 handicap, when do start with the T200/T150? I really like the T350 and is very thankful for dropping my Handicap 10 points in a matter of months, I want to know if there is any benefits I'm leaving on the table by not playing a T200.

The T200 is slightly easier to work the ball left and right than T350. If you feel like you are missing some greens due to not being able to fade or draw the ball, consider making the change. If you are happy with your iron play, there is no real reason to change. If you are headed to single digits and want to improve the feel you get for accuracy, you might want to try the next generation of player irons that will replace the current T100 later this year. As always, consult a fitter and your teaching pro for best results, not us.

There isn’t a reward to graduate to a next model. It really depends on your ball striking. If you can no longer control how high you hit with a T350, that would be a reason to try another fitting. If you control cuts and draws during a fitting with a T100/150 better than with the T350, that could be a reason. But handicap alone is not a reason to move up from a T350. All depends on the skill you have or are willing to develop to move on.

Moving a handicap by 10 is dramatic change. Was it irons alone? Better putting? More fairways with driver? If your goal is single digit, probably your next investment would be with a coach to assess your strengths and weaknesses to see where you should invest time and money. Would it be disappointing to spend $1600+ on a set of irons and your handicap didn’t move?

Lots and Lots of practices, lessons, and the GT2 Driver, an GT2 7wood helped a lot to drop my Handicap. Funny story before I didn't know what "feel" was on an Iron, I just went off sound. However on one of my practice sessions the other guy next to me had the T150 in my same shaft, and I asked to hit them, and wow that you can feel, and the ball went about the same distance as my T350.

Best to consult a fitter like Dale said and embrace the T350s until the make you worse. There is no set time or handicap to start playing players irons. And you might get fit into a combo set T350 up top and T200 lower.

The tell tale sign is are you hitting your ball too high, or too far. are the distance gapping between your irons and wedges and woods too drastic (i.e. 5yds apart, 20 yds apart). Are your yardages overlapping?

As you become better and your swing gets better you should begin to see these deficiencies as the T350 are meant to assist you in bridging these gaps.

There are specific flight windows and ball speed numbers you want to see and the irons help you get there. If you improve your swing your numbers will change and you will lose efficacy because your hitting it too high, or it's spinning to much.

Yes the T350 will give you more consistent ball speeds all over the face than a T200, but it won't fix your drastic over the top swing that causes you to need more distance and lack of compression which necessitates an iron with more spin. If you are still doing these things you still need the iron that compensates for these, but if you're hitting at a downward angle of attack with a square face that's causing compression and spin and launch then you'll need a different iron because you'll now be hitting windows that are too high and spin numbers that are too high.

T350 is not a high handicap club to "graduate" from. It's an iron build for a specific purpose, and when you no longer need the purpose it's designed for that's when you "graduate" to a different iron.

As others have said, a lower HCP doesn't mean you need to change. I play to a 8-9 HCP and love my 350's. I know another guy that is scratch and plays the 350. I just liked the 350's better than the 200's and 150's when I hit them in my fitting. I usually keep irons for a while and being in my 50's I figured I might need the distance help in a few years when/if the golf ball rollback happens.

I definitely agree with the above. My index floats between 13-14 and play the T350s. That was coming from a mixed set of AP1/AP3. The numbers and dispersion were just better.

A few years back when I had that fitting at Manchester Lane, the fitter said at that time while Jordan Spieth was at the top of his game, he was using AP2 irons and NOT blades or MBs.

So, it's not a matter of "graduating" to the next level, but more of playing the irons that best suit YOUR game.

One other point - I'm sure that you took several lessons to drop 10 points, keep with the pro and working on your weaknesses to keep improving. The pro can also give you a much better insight to the clubs than we can.
