I picked up my Hybrid 5 today and was surprised to find a difference between it and the Hybrid 14 which I was not expecting. The Hybrid 14 has a cart-strap pass through tunnel, whereas the Hybrid 5 does not. After reviewing the literature on the website, I see that this feature is actually described differently.
Hybrid 14 - "Integrated Cart Strap Tunnel"
Hybrid 5 - "Cart strap loop for easy cart access"
Both bags are advertised as "Cart Friendly Design", but personally I see these as being very different methods of achieving "cart friendly", and not sure how the "loop" meets this description. It sure looks to me like a riding cart strap, when passed through the "loop" is going to cinch down on top of the towel ring. True - this is better than the strap covering an access pocket, but still - my hope was that when using this bag on a riding cart, the strap would have zero no negative affect. Like the tunnel provides.
For those who have purchased the Hybrid 5 and used it on a cart, riding or push, does the strap interfere with the towel ring? If it does, is it a minor nuisance you choose to look past?
Having purchased and returned a Hybrid 14, then ordering the Hybrid 5, and thinking the only differences were going to be the obvious ones (14 vs 5 club slots, 8 vs 7 pockets, a bit lighter) I was bummed to realize I had not noticed this very different method that Titleist used in the same model line of bag.
