Keeping White Bags Clean

  1. I am thinking about getting a new bag - specifically the Cart 14 in white with black lettering. I think that color scheme looks really sharp. However, I am wondering how dirty does the white get and how easy or difficult is the white to clean? Does the white turn grayish after a period of time or does it retain the white pretty well? Thank you!

I have had the Cart 14 in white on the back of my EZGO for two summer now. it still looks pretty good, even with the crazy hot summer sun we get out here. There is only some very slight yellowing around the place where the cart strap goes under the small logo. The overall look is still great. We get a lot of dust but not rain. The dust wipes off with a dust rag and occasional damp cloth. Probably one or two more seasons before I replace it. The EZGO is white too so the bag looks good with it and the light colors reflect heat in the summer here in Phoenix.

That sure looks like a retiree's cart. Nice ride. We were looking at one for my wife to get around our area but the speed limit is 45+mph going over to the beach and that just will not work. A lot of them around Mt Pleasant, but limited on the street where the speed limit is over 35mph. Do not need any tickets by Mt P's finest. Is that one self charging?

I don’t know of any that charge themselves. Mine does have the lithium battery upgrade which is maintenance free and faster charging than lead batteries. Street legal for 35 mph and below streets so perfect for our neighborhood. I can get to all four of our courses and even cross a major street to get in the next neighborhood that has restaurants, shops, grocery stores, etc.

White bags are really beautiful, BUT there are two colors that I personally stay clear of. Red and white bags. I play in the south and it is hot and humid. Red bags fad to a pink color over a period of time and white will turn somewhat yellow. You can clean the bag with Mr Clean magic erasers which can help, but they will be a high maintenance bag if they are leather. Canvas bags, maybe soap and water. This is just me. I always buy black bags. They last me longer and are easier to maintain.

Chuck, aren’t you and I to the point where equipment longevity is the least of our worries? Sorry, couldn’t resist. Love you man!

Longevity, not something I try to think about. No worries pal. Sure hoping I can get in this year's TTI. Missed going last year. Loved seeing the "old" gang. Yeah, had to say it. Back at cha. Hoping we get to play #10 this year or maybe somewhere in the NE. Wish I could get my game back to where I could join you guys.
  9. I always have a white bag in the rotation, i wipe it down with a Clorox wipe after every round and that’s been working for me for years. After a few years they start to discolor a bit, so I replace it.

I have a white bag and clean it quite often. However, each spring I pick up a can of scotch guard from Lowe's and spray it on. It's clear and really prevents extended sun damage as well as resisting stains.

I have had a white bag for years and no issues at all. I use a magic eraser from time to time to clean off some cart smudges but overall it's been great
  12. Thank you everyone!
