  1. Hi Team Titleist,

After a 10 year run with my old lightweight Titleist bag, it was time for a new one. I considered the carbon 4 and LinksMaster... needed up choosing the Carbon 4 for days when Im walking 9 or 18 with the lightweight.

I am surprised with how stiff the bag straps are. Do these end up breaking in over time? If not, are the straps more comfortable on the LinksMaster?

    Thanks!

I have had multiple Players 4 Carbon bags over the years and the straps do conform to your shoulders but never get super soft. I am okay with that because they are much more padded than the early production Players 4 used to be. I used to add some car seatbelt pads to those to walk comfortably without the straps digging in. As for the LinksLegend bags, I find my straps on those to be slightly stiffer than Players 4 due to the leather-like material. I really only use the LinksLegend bag in golf carts so the straps are just used to and from the parking lot. Hope this helps.

Im sure they will break in as you use it. The linksmaster bag straps are also a little different material and they start out pretty stiff too. I also noticed they are on the wider side, but they need some time to break in as well

Have any of you guys tried using saddle soap to soften the leather?

Hey Chuck, saddle soap does not work too well on vinyl or faux leather that these bags and straps are made from.
