  1. Has anyone here worked on fitness with a TPI trainer, and what were your results?

As with most males, I personally focused on strength training. Working with TPI instructors, I learned I was restricted more by range of motion than strength. It’s a little like work smarter, not longer. Some of my restrictions will never resolve. Touching my toes has never happened even as a teenager. Most of my benefit is from working on flexibility and adjusting swing to minimize injury.

Outside of golf, I slipped on ice and fractured 6 ribs and bummed that shoulder. Working with a chiropractor with TPI Medical 3 certified, my shoulder is useable again. With the ribs involved it was more of the rest of my shoulder harness that my shoulder was getting stressed by other limits. I have 8 or so exercises to treat the whole area.

For those reading this far, Titleist has been posting videos by Greg Rose has been demonstrating using force plates and cameras to break down a swing. In my experience this was a Catch-22. You had to go to TPI for that level of sophistication. But only pros can book time at TPI.

I wanted to work with the lead pro (TPI golf certified) at a nearby muni. I have a fitting coming up in May for woods and I need to see what I can correct post injury. He offered to do force plates and 3D camera usage to look for a new me. Who new? Makes that about 2016 miles closer to home than Carlsbad. Not to mention an option for f/u visits.
